Who will be there to help me if I have a technical problem or just need assistance?
HI-TEST has full time, on-site engineers to support your test program from test plan development and pre-test engineering services, to full test support and test report preparation. A test engineer is assigned to the customer upon contract award and will support your test through the final test report.

Who will be responsible to install, monitor, and process my instrumentation?
All instrumentation services are owned, maintained, and operated by qualified HI-TEST instrumentation technicians. We do not utilize Government equipment or personnel in any of our instrumentation services. All HI-TEST instrumentation equipment and systems are maintained in calibration in accordance with ANSI 540Z-1.

What shock test vehicles are available?
HI-TEST has four Floating Shock Platforms (FSP), three Deck Simulator Fixtures (DSF) and an IFSP scheduled for completion in 2003. Additionally HI-TEST has the only commercial Paddlewheel Test Vehicle (PWTV) for hull penetrator qualification testing. Other unique test vehicles and simulators are available for use as may be required. All test vehicles on-site are owned and maintained by HI-TEST. No Government owned test vehicles are required to support our tests. All test vehicles are approved by NAVSEA Inst. 9491.1C.

Will my test be impacted by weather conditions or other tests?
HI-TEST is the nation's only heavyweight shock test facility unencumbered by local restrictions regarding testing in cloudy or overcast weather, and we are not limited by the number of tests performed in a day, week, or month. We are also not required to publicly announce any testing functions. This virtually eliminates delays as a result of weather or the number of tests performed in a certain time period.

Who will be installing my equipment?
HI-TEST has experienced shipboard equipment installation personnel to receive and install your equipment for testing. HI-TEST designs and fabricates interface test fixtures on-site and supports all phases of installation and set-up including auxiliary services from electrical supply, cooling water and air, to compressed air, lube oil, fuel or fire protection.

What about security?
HI-TEST is located in a rural area with a dual gated entrance and surrounded by security fencing and other natural boundaries. HI-TEST is not visible from any public roadway and no public announcements are required regarding your test program. HI-TEST has approved classified handling and storage capabilities that we would be pleased to discuss, in detail, if required. HI-TEST facilities are monitored by security cameras 24/7.

How do I contract for services?
HI-TEST contracts directly with our customers or through our existing GSA contract. HI-TEST is also a certified HUBZone small business. HI-TEST will provide testing services on a firm fixed price or time and material contract. All repair, modification, and retest services are provided on a time and material basis with pre-established rates.

What on-site facilities are available for my test personnel?
HI-TEST has two customer office areas adjacent to the heavyweight test basin with desks, chairs, tables, HVAC, phone, electrical and internet service. These office areas are large enough for most test support equipment and one has a roll-up door and reinforced floor for large or heavy electronic cabinets. Fax and copying facilities are available in our main office. A customer office is available in the medium weight and vibration test building and two conference rooms are available on-site for customer use as necessary. Customers have full access during normal operating hours and on an "as needed" basis during off-hours
