HI-TEST has offered UNDEX testing since its inception in 1975. Now, HI-TEST offers a complete UNDEX testing and analysis capability that allows for the design of test specimen (including pre-test analysis and predictions), design and fabrication of test fixtures, determination of UNDEX geometry, instrumentation, conduct of UNDEX testing and post-test data correlation. HI-TEST is the only testing facility that can offer a complete turn-key solution to UNDEX testing and analysis, whether it is barge or machine, MIL-S-901 or R&D testing.
Advanced Composite Materials
For over 25 years, HI-TEST has been involved with various US Navy composites programs with regard to response to underwater explosions (UNDEX). Our most recent focus has been to couple our dynamic testing capabilities with an advanced analytical capability for failure prediction of composite structures. HI-TEST has invested in modeling and simulation (M&S) software to support future composite material applications in the areas of structural design and analysis, progressive failure, damage tolerance and fracture mechanics.
